Peter keetman was born in 1916 in Munich and died in 2005 but in his life he left a legacy of photography which started in 1935 and passed a masters craftsman diploma in 1948. In 1949 Keetman joined a group of photographers that revolutionised photography in the 50's and 60's. Through his life keetman focussed on close-up photography as well as his interesting taste for the abnormal such as a man in a car with a poodle acting as a human.
Peter keetman uses parts from cars as well as other man made objects to create his pictures. Peter Keetman relocated his camera as well as the focus of the camera to create his ab normal pictures, These vary from human faces to pills of scrapped cars/car parts .
Peter Keetman has also used the reflection of water to enlarge the focus of the object as well as using the refection it is located on for example :
The drops of water have skilfully been used in these photos as it enlarges and focoses on the stranded of the feather and the last one has been used to reflect what is behind him by the perception of the image i can deduce that it is a train station of some sort due to the outlining of the object and the outline of the 2 people on the platform.
Peter Keetmans work will be used through my work due to how he has amazingly positioned his camera to the right position and how he has made the photographs into close-ups to such an extent that i can see every strand.
